Quains Enterprises Pty Ltd was registered on 30 December 1965 as Dennis Wood Pty Ltd. The business operated a post office, general store and liquor outlet from premises on the corner of Dubbo Road (Mitchell Highway) and Montefiores Road, Montefiores, Wellington.
At an unknown date, PJ & RC Quain purchased the Wellington - Mount Bodangora school bus service. The service was transferred to Quains Enterprises Pty Ltd in February 1980.
During the 1980s, the service was split with 2 school services created:-
1. Wellington - Mount Bodangora
2. Wellington - Spicers Creek
By 1999 this had been consolidated back into one school service; Wellington - Spicers Creek - Mount Bodangora.
The school service was sold to EC & F Ogden t/a Ogden's Coaches, Wellington on 1 October 2008 with MO 0243 Toyota Coaster and MO 4537 Mercedes-Benz 814D. Quain's General Store closed down on 26 September 2008 and was later sold to Fred and Lyn Griffiths, who reopened the store trading as Quain’s Liquor Store on 3 March 2009.
