Barry Blanch sold the Merriwa - Coomealla and Merriwa - Aberdeen school contracts prior to relocating to the North Coast to take over Farrell's Bus Service, Ballina in 1976, followed by Mitchell Motors, Ballina in August 1979.
Blanch's took over the services of Brunswick Valley Coaches, Billinudgel on 1 January 2010 with 26 buses. Vehicles have gradually been repainted into the newer Blanch's livery with sign writing for Brunswick Valley Coaches.
